Description
View east-northeasterly towards the Gilpins Falls Covered Bridge over North East Creek. The bridge is only open to foot traffic, but well preserved, lying adjacent to current Maryland Route 272 (the Old North East Road). Originally built around 1860, the bridge has been refurbished several times through 2009. The Gilpins Falls Covered Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. Awesome capture Michael!
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Lynn. It’s a challenging bridge, for me at least, getting the timing of the trees in the background. I’m glad you enjoyed this shot. - Mike

Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, William. Timing for the fall colors has been difficult for me on this one. But I guess perseverance is a lesson still to be learned. Glad you like this shot. - Mike
