Description
View south-southwesterly of the Kissing Bridge located at the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham, VT. Reconstructed from remnants of the Depot Covered Bridge to remember days gone by when horse-and-buggy travel was commonplace and a stop on the bridge crossing was a favorite for an oftentimes brief romantic exchange between a young or even a still spry older couple. The tradition of the Kissing Bridge was not limited only to this one but to many of the covered bridges in Vermont and elsewhere.
