Description
Built in 1857, the Humpback Covered Bridge is the oldest remaining covered bridge in Virginia and presumably the last arched covered bridge in the United States. Sepia toning renders a nostalgic feel to this northeasterly view towards the venerable Humpback Bridge. The Humpback Covered Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in October 1969. Image = VA Country Roads Alleghany Humpback-18D 123115-040316 301-305 E-D M C2 PSP E-IR TM-S10.jpg.
