Built in 1857, the Humpback Covered Bridge is the oldest remaining covered bridge in Virginia and presumably the last arched covered bridge in the United States. The Humpback Covered Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in October 1969. Image = VA Country Roads Alleghany Humpback-18D 123115-040316 301-305 E-D M C2 PSP E-IR TM-S10.jpg.
