Description
View southeasterly towards the Siegrist's Mill Covered Bridge over Big Chiques Creek in western Lancaster County, PA. The bridge was originally built in 1885 (then known as Michael Moore's Mill Bridge), later re-named Siegrist's about 1895, and was reconstructed after being washed downstream due to flooding in September 2011. The Siegrist's Mill Covered Bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The bridge today is in very good visual condition and open to traffic.
