The afternoon light inspires as it illuminated the peak colors of autumn at the well-preserved Lower Humbert Covered Bridge (also known as the Faidley Covered Bridge) over Laurel Hill Creek at the juncture of Humbert and Covered Bridge Roads, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. Originally built in 1891, the bridge was refurbished in 1991. The Lower Humbert Covered Bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
