Description
The medallion for the German Village Society marks one of many well-preserved and restored homes in the Old South End of the City of Columbus, Ohio. Initially the home to a thriving and prosperous German-American immigrant population. Restoration efforts at the grass roots community level began in the early 1960's and continues to this day. The German Village Historic District has been honored as a Preserve America Community and cited on the National Register of Historic Places.
