Description
On a stroll through the streets of German Village, the Old South End of the City of Columbus, Ohio, vintage postal boxes can be seen adding to the charming character of many of its well-preserved and restored homes. Initially the home to a thriving and prosperous German-American immigrant population, restoration efforts at the grass roots community level began in the early 1960's and continues to this day. The German Village Historic District has been honored as a Preserve America Community and cited on the National Register of Historic Places. Image = German Village - Post No. 2 111013 012 PSP.jpg.
