Description
Tucked amongst tree-lined walking paths along Carroll Creek in Baker Park, Frederick, Maryland, is the Carroll Creek Covered Bridge as seen in this easterly view. The ice-covered tree limbs illuminated by the afternoon light make one consider, even for a brief moment, the shelter afforded inside the bridge. The bridge was built by the City of Frederick in the mid-1960's. Image = Baker Park, Carroll Creek Covered Bridge-1 Frederick MD Winter 020514 021-025 E-Pnt2 N C1 FTB-10 PSP A-Shm.jpg.

Michael you've done such a fabulous job of finding all these old sweet bridges. I like this one especially ... the snow covered branches and the rich tones of the red on the bridge and the gracious golden light all combine to create a true work of art!!! l/f t

As you probably know, the light in the mid-Atlantic is wonderful from Nov - Feb. I hope your fall shooting season is great. Thanks, Lois. - Mike

I am fortunate and very blessed to have visited many of them...and you're right, they each have their own character. Thanks for your encouragement. - Mike
