LOVE this image with its simplicity; a perfect study in shadows and lights; perfect capture of lights and shadows even in the snow contours. Well seen and photographed.

Great composition! v/f
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thanks, Ricard. Today a similar scene is there although right now it is snowing horizontally with about two feet of snow on the ground. Glad you enjoyed this shot. - Mike

Good eye Michael! The play of light and shadows makes for an interesting image.
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Betty. The small contours in the snow depths are what caught my eye (besides the fact that I was checking out how much shoveling I would have to do the next morning). I'm glad you enjoyed this shot. - Mike

Absolutely love this, Michael! The lighting and shadows are perfect, and the textures are exquisite. What a beautifully peaceful scene. Pure inspiration. Masterfully captured! F/L
Michael Mazaika replied:
Sometimes I believe that the Good Lord sets up the scene and all I do is show up with my camera gear - in this looking out my bedroom window. Thank you, Peter, for your gracious thoughts and support. - Mike
Rosanne Jordan
Fabulous! The light and shadows are amazing! LF
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Rosanne. No snow yet here in Maryland but I suppose you've already had your first taste of it over the last week or so. Snow shadow patterns are always interesting to look for. - Mike

This one is a masterpiece, not often you can find an image that is so perfect and serene...most excellent! F/V
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Mike, for your gracious comments and support. As I mentioned to someone previously, I just went to the front window to see if the snow had stopped. Sometimes I believe that the Good Lord sets the scene and I just show up with my camera. - Mike

Good Michael. I like it. fv
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Joe Jake. I'm glad you enjoyed this shot. Hope everything was OK where you are with the recent heavy rains. - Mike
Carolyn Marshall
Beautiful lines. Love how the texture of the snow just glistens and how you captured the subtle contours of the snow. V
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Carolyn. Personally, I'm already anxious for the return of colder weather, and the Lightning are not yet ready to give it up either. Go 'Bolts (from a dumpy old goaltender). - Mike
Sandra Foster
Most interesting and well seen/captured Michael! A f/l too.
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Sandra, for your kind thoughts and support (and if you looked at it today you would see that the lawn needs mowing; I think that I prefer the frozen blanket). - Mike
Stuart Litoff
Beautiful light and composition!
Michael Mazaika replied:
...and I was just checking to see if the snow had stopped. What a gift it was. Thanks, Stuart. - Mike
