Description
View south-southwesterly in the late afternoon sun towards the Josiah Hess Covered Bridge (also known as Laubach Covered Bridge) illuminating its interior. The bridge crosses Huntington Creek in Fishing Creek Township, Columbia County, PA. Autumn colors are just past peak but still abound in this presentation. Originally built in 1875, the Josiah Hess Covered Bridge was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It was refurbished in 2006 after severe damage due to flooding, The bridge was in very good visual condition this day but is open to foot traffic only.
