Description
View northeasterly from Sickles Avenue across snowcovered fields and picket fences towards the Trostle farm and barn along United States Avenue south of Gettysburg, PA. The late afternoon winter sun illuminates field grasses while the lengthening shadows of tree limbs try to obscure the famous shell hole between and below the diamond-shaped ventilation openings in the brickwork of the barn's wall near the site of Dan Sickles infamous wounding.
