Description
The combination of intense mid-morning light and a low sun angle illuminates not only the barn-red side boards of the Sachs Covered Bridge but causes a reflection on the slow running waters of Marsh Creek below giving an illusion of a watery red carpet worthy of this regal, historic structure. This bridge, built in 1854, was used by Union and Confederate troops prior to the Battle of Gettysburg and by Confederate forces during their retreat back to Virginia following the battle. Thank you, Mary. The uniform reflection off the water is what really caught my eye on this one. - Mike

You covered bridge portfolio is just outstanding! One is better than the next - or actually, I'm not sure I can say that as they are all so remarkable! Love them all! L.F.
