View southerly across a frozen and snow-covered Marsh Creek towards the Sach’s Covered Bridge in the late-afternoon winter sun. This bridge was used by Union and Confederate troops prior to the Battle of Gettysburg and by Confederate forces during their retreat back to Virginia following the battle.
