We have DiCarlo's Pizza in Wheeling, West Virginia also and it is the first stop for anyone who lives out of town and returned home for a visit, wonderful image and story.

Michael Mazaika replied:

It is a classic. Stopped by when searching out covered bridges in far western PA and evev found another one somewhere in a little town in West Virginia (don't remember where) to carry home to MD. Great stuff. Thanks for your comment, Greta. - Mike

Artist's Description

Pizza pioneer, Primo Di Carlo, sets up his first shop in Steubenville, OH, in 1945 after returning from his service in Italy during World War II. Steaming hot trays out of the oven and then dressed with cheese and pepperoni. A unique approach and lingo to the uninformed (slices, boxes, and trays, not cuts and pies) but worth the learning curve for a first-timer from Maryland. A great find on my search for covered bridges in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. Image = OH Steubenville Di Carlos 101015-101115 1111-1115 E-P2 M C1 PSP EShSm.jpg.

Maybe a lot like you. I am a lover of history and of our country; privileged to have seen a few other lands and their people; grateful for the sight that I have been given on loan; blessed by the scenes before me and the vision to see what they may look like at another hour and in another season. When I gave my life to Christ it was the fulfillment of the faithful prayers of many others on my behalf. There was no resounding...
