Description
View northwesterly towards the Salmond Covered Bridge as early autumn colors begin to emerge in this portion of Windsor County, Vermont. At about 54 feet in length, the bridge was built around 1880 by James Tasker and originally crossing the Black River near Stoughton Pond. It was relocated out of that floodplain to near Amsden and Weathersfield and later restored and moved to its present spot over Sherman Brook. Thank you, Lois. It is a beautiful setting on a seldom used spur. I must admit (I may lose my credentials as a meteorologist), though, that at least in this area I was a week early for peak fall colors. Oops! But I’m grateful for your kind thoughts. - Mike

Michael, in looking at your covered bridge photos they are very beautiful. Each one looks like a painting. Great job.
