Description
Autumn's finest colors remain intact along the shores and bluff adjacent to the Ashtabula River with more than enough to spread a golden carpet beneath. This scene is below but nearby the Smolen-Gulf Covered Bridge, presumably the longest in the United States. It is also only a short walk from the relatively newer Riverview Covered Bridge, Ashtabula and Plymouth Townships, Ashtabula County, Ohio. Lovely, Michael. I like the way the trunk in the foreground gives the image depth. LF

Wow! Amazing autumn capture! I grew up about 15 miles south of Ashtabula! Didn't think I would get to see photos from there. Thank you for sharing! l/f/t

Thank you, Alana. My first visit there to photograph their many covered bridges and what a gift besides. I hope you can visit my covered bridge images as well. - Mike

Wish we had these kinds of fall colors around here in Mobile! Beautiful scene and shot, Mike! LF
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Marian. I count them as gifts. I'll bet, though, that you can probably find some neat fall colors if you travel to the northern part of Alabama. Even so, there's remarkable things to see everywhere which you have already shown. Be well. - Mike
