Fantastic!

Michael Mazaika replied:

Thank you, Johanna. Although Frederick, MD, the U.S. as well, doesn’t have the length of history as yet as other countries, it still has plenty to tell. I’m glad you enjoyed this shot. - Mike

Hi Michael! This photo is gorgeous (and you are so right about the excellent timing and traffic)! I have some questions about copyright availability for the picture. Would you be willing to contact me? You can look me up on the church website - twinspires.org Thanks! Pr. Naomi Hartman

Artist's Description

Late afternoon view towards the main entrance to the Evangelical Lutheran Church on Church Street in the Historic District of downtown Frederick, Maryland. Founded in 1738 by Pastor John Stoever as the Lutheran Church in Monocacy, its storied history includes a visit by John Adams in June 1800, then Second President of the United States. The current church was completed and dedicated in 1855 and was pressed into service in 1862 during the Civil War as one of many local "hospitals" to care for Union and Confederate wounded after the Battles of South Mountain and Antietam. The twin steeples flanking the main door to the church narthex make it one of the crowned jewels among Frederick's clustered spires. I am a lover of history and of our country; privileged to have seen a few other lands and their people; grateful for the sight that I have been given on loan; blessed by the scenes before me and the vision to see what they may look like at another hour and in another season. When I gave my life to Christ it was the fulfillment of the faithful prayers of many others on my behalf. There was no resounding...
