Thank you, Carol. Some days the sky and the setting sun works out; other times not so much. This time turned out to be a beauty. - Mike

Great capture Mike! Love the color of the sky. Your right, great place to photograph in the winter.
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, David. If you've not had the opportunity, try to attend Remembrance Weekend; usually the closest weekend to Nov. 19 (actual anniversary date of the Gettysburg Address). Several thousand re-enactors at various monuments during the morning, parade thru town around mid-day, and luminaries in the National Cemetery from dusk until about 10 PM. Lots of photo opportunities. - Mike
Matthew Livsey
Excellent!
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thanks, Matthew. Winter at Gettysburg has a lot of character in the skies and silhouettes that appear. I'm glad you liked this shot. - Mike

Michael Mazaika replied:
After all these many years I finally managed to be on this part of the Gettysburg Battlefield at sunset. I've been very blessed in coming here and attempt to present images that inspire. Thank you, Fei, for your kind support. - Mike

Superb comp and color! I have never seen the monuments photographed better! LF
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Angela, for your very kind support. Beyond never tiring of visiting this place, I love watching the light throughout the day and the seasons. There's always a new scene. I am very fortunate to live only an hour away from the Gettysburg and the Antietam (Sharpsburg) battlefields and count it a privilege to walk the ground with or without my camera gear. - Mike.
