View of the former Bowmansdale Covered Bridge from the York County side of the Yellow Breeches Creek towards the Messiah College Campus in Cumberland County, PA. Mid-day, autumn. Originally built near Bowmansdale in 1867 using the Burr arch truss design, the bridge was acquired by Mr. and Mrs. Jacob S. Stoner, donated to Messiah College, and later dismantled and re-assembled by college staff and students between 1970 and 1972; thereafter re-named the Stoner/Bowmansdale Covered Bridge.
