Description
Sepia rendering of the Knox Covered Bridge adds a nostalgic feel to this venerable old structure. The bridge, also known as the General Knox Covered Bridge, Valley Forge Park Bridge, and Valley Forge Dam Bridge was originally built in 1851, reconstructed again in 1865 due to flooding, rebuilt yet again in 1965 after being damaged by fire, and most recently refurbished in 2012. Wonderful bridge, just reopened after being under repair for about a year. I love the duotone treatment! Beautiful! l/f!
Michael Mazaika replied:
Thank you, Meg. This was an unexpected find in that the type of construction is unlike that of most of the other covered bridges in Eastern PA. I'm glad you enjoyed this shot and hope you will enjoy this on-going series. - Mike
